Framilon® » The Plus

Sewing. Laboratory tests show that Framilon® has a high level of resistance to tearing compared to competitors’ tapes (see diagram). This important characteristic not only makes the tapes suitable for traditional uses but also as a base for elasticating decorative braiding, for embroidery or bordering.

Minimal tech support. Tapes are applied with a sewing machine, using a standard or special guide depending on the use. Variations to the final result can be obtained with a RAM module to modify the tension.

Thickness. Framilon® is extremely fine and thus seams can be elasticated without making them thicker.

Elastic modulus. Laboratory tests demonstrate that after 1000 extensions at 200%, the elastic performance of Framilon® is unaffected and its deformation is minimal (10%) compared to tapes of competitors.

Industrial dyeing. Framilon has high resistance to the industrial dyeing process. Piece-dyed garments can be treated for 60 min at 90º and still retain their original dimensions.

Easy care. Laboratory testing under UNI EN IDO regulations show that Framilon® can be washed domestically at 60º can be dry-cleaned and is resistant to chlorine, salt water and perspiration (acid and alkaline).

Oeko Tex. Framilon range of tapes are Oeko Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certified, including the requirements of Annex 17 of Reach and American requirements of CPSIA.

The Stress-Strain Curve:

the proportion of elongation to the stress applied establishes the modulus of elasticity. Tests show that Framilon® has a low modulus and is therefore easily elongated and its stretch recovery is relaxed  with virtually no deformation.

Tear resistance:

a product punched by a sewing needle will eventually tear other multiple elongations. Framilon® provide superior resistance.
